Christian Apostles & Disciples in Art Photos

Jesus called upon 12 Apostles as helpers. Statues representing Disciples often stand beside pillars along the naves of churches and hold their respective symbols which mostly represent devices of their respective martyrdoms. Since some symbols like clubs and spears are similar and artistic talents differ, it is sometimes difficult to tell Apostles apart. Furthermore, because of the betrayal of Christ by Judas, churches removed him as an Apostle and several replacements boosted the number of disciples to over 12 in total.
