Christian Monasteries of Ireland Photos

After Saint Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland in the 5th Century, Monasteries spread and even became guardians of the faith as the rest of Europe plunged into the Dark Ages of Medieval times. The monasteries were shut down when Henry VIII made Britain Protestant and many fell into ruins.
