Kells Abbey, Ireland Photos

The Abbey of Kells (reportedly founded by St. Columba c554) hosts a round tower (10thC), several high crosses (9th-10thC) & an oratory (10thC). It is the origin of the Book of Kells. Situated north of Dublin & the River Boyne, it should not be confused with Kells Priory near Kilkenny south of Dublin.
