Coburg Castle Photos

Coburg Castle (Veste Coburg) (started 10thC) is one of best preserved Medieval Castles in Germany. It is significant as Martin Luther resided here for six months in 1530 when he was banned from the Diet of Augsburg. In Coburg Castle, he continued to translate the Bible into German. Displays and paintings in Veste Coburg record Luther and other Reformers. The Castle has restored rooms of the era and a museum with glass, porcelain, paintings & sleighs.
