St Fagans National Museum of History, Cardiff Photos

St Fagans National Museum of History, on the outskirts of Cardiff, opened in 1948 as an open-air museum to reflect the lives of ordinary people. St Fagans hosts authentic Welsh homes, farms, shops, pubs & a toll house, moved to & re-erected on the site donated by the Earl of Plymouth around St Fagans castle & gardens. St Fagans Castle, an Elizabethan mansion (late 16th C) & its antique furnishings are open to the public. Museum galleries display ancient objects discovered in Wales, as well as items from more recent centuries.
