William Morris Wallpapers & Fabrics Photos

Arts & Crafts artist William Morris & his associates are known for their designs for wallpapers & fabrics with named patterns often printed or woven in a range of colors. This page indexes Morris patterns seen in a number of art & house museums. While designs are often attributed to William Morris himself, some were designed by other artists working with his firm of Morris & Co, most notably in later years by John Henry Dearle. The Morris style is defined by repeteive curvy foliage often with embedded flowers, fruits or animals. Embroidered hangings produced by Morris' daughters (May & Jenny) for Morris & Co are included.
