Glamis Castle, Angus Photos

Glamis Castle, near Angus Scotland, has been home to the Bowes Lyon, Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne, since the 14thC, and was the childhood home of the Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. The castle remains the private property of the Strathmore family, but is open for tours. The castle impresses with its multi-turreted exterior and lavishly furnished interior rooms. The castle guides explain the history of Glamis which has been visited by many historical figures over the centuries.
