Roycroft Printing & Leather Photos

Roycroft of East Aurora, NY, was an American leader in the Arts and Crafts Movement. Started by Elbert Hubbard as a printshop (1893), the shop concentrated on the design and quality of its books and magazines. Starting with worked leather bindings, Roycroft leather workers expanded into a range of decorative arts products. Roycroft's furniture shops produced a range of bookshelves, some of which were given as premiums to buyers of Roycroft publications.
