Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, MO Photos

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art occupies two buildings. The original Beaux Arts structure (1930-3) was designed by Wight & Wight and is memorable for its courtyard area. The modern Bloch Building addition (1999-2007) is by Steven Holl. Both sit in a large sculpture park south of downtown Kansas City. The museum is noted for it collections of painting, decorative arts, Oriental arts, & Native American arts.
