St Isidore the Farmer Art Photos

St Isidore the Farmer (aka Ysidro) (1070-1130) was a worker on an estate outside of Madrid. He lived a life of devotion, performed many miracles and shared what little he had with the poor. His wife, canonized as Santa Maria de la Cabeza, who shared Isidore's virtues, is often portrayed with him. Isidore is the patron saint of farmers and city of Madrid. Portrayed as humble farmer with oxen, farming tools & angels.
