St Clare Art Photos

St Clare (1194-1253) born in Assisi to a noble family, she refused an arranged marriage and ran away from home to St Francis from whom she received a nun's habit. Forcible efforts by her family to bring back Clare and her sister were unsuccessful. She founded the Poor Clare Order.
