Drop-Leaf Tables Photos

Drop-leaf tables have one or two hinged leaves which were supported by slide out trusses when raised. The leaves usually ran in the long direction of the fixed tabletop. The drop leaves being rectangular or rounded turned the extended table to become round or square, but some were raised diagonally. Drop leaf tables are similar to Gateleg tables except the gatelegs swing out from the understructure to support the weight on the leaves. Thus most drop leaf tables have four legs while gateleg tables have six legs, more or less.
