Charles Eamer Kempe Art Photos

Charles Eamer Kempe founded a studio 1866-1934 to make stained glass & other architectural decorative elements for churches. At its height Kempe had 50 artisans working for him. Kempe was inspired by William Morris while they were both at Oxford. Kempe sometimes signed his work with a Golden Wheat sheaf.
