Brechthaus Museum, Augsburg Photos

Brechthaus Museum (Auf dem Rain 7, Augsburg Germany) - early childhood home of famous playwright & poet Bertolt Brecht - contains old theater posters, photos & other memorabilia about Brecht's artistic life & political views. His works, sometimes satirical, reflect his strong anti-war beliefs. Brecht lived in exile in Scandinavia during the 1930's Nazi era in Germany, and moved to the United States during WWII. After being blacklisted by Hollywood movie studios & being called before the House Un-American Activities Committee for his Marxist beliefs, Brecht moved to East Germany where he remained for the rest of his life.
