Blaubeuren Abbey Photos

Blaubeuren Abbey (founded 1085), 18km from Ulm, has undergone many changes over the centuries both in structure and occupants, alternating between Roman Catholic and Protestant. The highlight is the interior of the old abbey church and its magnificent gilded Gothic altarpiece. The abbey complex contains a group of ancient half-timbered buildings.
