Zwiefalten Abbey, Baden-Württemberg Photos

Zwiefalten Abbey church (1739-53), in the village of the same name and part of a former Benedictine monastery, is a prime example of baroque churches in southern Germany at their height. Inside the somewhat sober exterior, the church is filled with an overwhelming profusion of colors, plasterwork, statues and frescoes.
