Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg Photos

Tübingen, located in Baden-Württemberg on the Neckar & Ammer Rivers, is well known for Eberhard Karls University (1477) which is an integral part of the city. The old town, which overlooks the Neckar, contains many historic half-timbered houses and the 15thC Rathaus (city hall) with its mural painted exterior and richly ornamented details. Located on a hill overlooking the historic town and Neckar River is Hohentübingen Palace (16thC) containing the Museum of Ancient Cultures and Biesingerstrasse lined with 19th and 20th C mansions.
