Nördlingen, Bavaria Photos

Nördlingen, Bavaria is located in the center of an enormous crater, hence its concentric development. In early times, the town prospered from its location at the crossroads of two major trade routes. The town still has its covered city walls (1327) fully intact and available for strolls around the town. Other attractions include its main square surrounded by colorful historic buildings, the Gothic St. George's Church (15thC) and its 90 meter tall tower, and the Bavarian Railway Museum which reflects Nördlingen's early involvement in the history of the Bavarian railway system.
