Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg Photos

Heidelberg, a university town since the middle ages, is located on the right bank of the River Neckar in Baden-Württemberg. Of note are the Alte Brücke (Old Bridge) (1786-88) and the extensive ruins of Heidelberg Castle on Königstuhl Hill. The castle and the top of the hill which provide excellent view of Heidelberg's old town can be reached via funicular.
