Constantine Basilica, Trier, Germany Photos

Constantine Basilica (aka Imperial Basilica) (c306) is the largest intact Roman structure outside Rome. Now an Evangelical Church, the Basilica once was the place where Emperor Constantine would meet audiences. The Basilica was part of the development of Trier undertaken by the emperor from 306 CE. At the time, Trier, then Augusta Treverorum, was the capital of Rome's Western Empire and home of Constantine the Great.
