Vermont State Capitol, Montpelier Photos

Vermont State Capitol in Montpelier was built (1857-59) by Thomas W. Silloway then Joseph R. Richards. The facade is in Doric Greek Revival style & the gold dome is topped by a statue of Ceres. Facing the Capitol are several Victorian buildings used for official functions.
