Prairie Avenue & Glessner House, Chicago Photos

South Prairie Avenue is a street of heritage mansions which have survived south of the loop. Highlights include the John J. Glessner House (1887) by Henry Hobson Richardson, Chicago's oldest house (1836) plus the Marshall Field Jr. Mansion (1867) by D.H. Burnham & Co. Adjacent to historic Prairie Ave. are the Second Presbyterian Church with its Tiffany Windows & the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum.
