Glasgow Subway Photos

Glasgow's Underground Urban Railway was built in 1896 as a circular line with tracks in each direction to be pulled by cables. Drilling small diameter tunnels forced the cars to become small cylinders and all stations used center platforms so wagons only had doors on one side. The system is now completely modernized with attractive stations with platforms on both sides.
