Firth of Forth Bridges, South Queensferry Photos

Ferry service was started in the 11th Century by Queen Margaret between South Queensferry & Queensferry at a narrow point across the Firth of Forth just west of Edinburgh. After centuries of ferry service, the Firth of Forth rail bridge (1883-90), an engineering marvel, was built by Sir William Arrol & Co. of Glasgow. In 1964 the Forth Road Bridge & in 2017 Queensferry Crossing Bridge were completed. The three bridges are scenic sites.
