Conservation Plaza, New Braunfels, TX Photos

Conservation Plaza, which is owned and run by the New Braunfels Conservation Society, contains historic buildings and artifacts of this community founded by German emigrants in 1845. Many of the buildings were re-located to the site and restored by the Conservation Society. Highlights include the Baetge House, owned by Carl Baetge who was the Chief Civil Engineer for the building of the Russian railway between St. Petersburg and Moscow, and the Jahn House and Cabinet Shop, owned by Johann Jahn who was a master craftsman from Germany and known for his Biedermeier style furniture.
