Fair Park, Dallas, TX Photos

Fair Park started in 1886 as the fairgrounds for Dallas, TX. It was rebuilt as an Art Deco showcase in 1936 to host the Texas Centennial Exposition by architects George Dahl and Paul Cret. The main Art Deco buildings with murals by several prominent artists include the Tower Building (originally U.S. Government Pavilion), the Esplanade, the Hall of State (feature on its own page) and several other structures. Fair Park is also the site of the Cotton Bowl and a Midway. The site is on the National Register.
