The Museum of Work and Culture in Woonsocket, RI, occupies a mill building in a cluster of such former mills beside a scenic dam and waterfall on the Blackstone River. The museum focuses on the French Canadian population which settled Woonsocket to work in the weaving factories. The museum is run by the Rhode Island Historical Society with funding from the Province of Quebec.
