Kit Carson Home, Taos, NM Photos

Christopher "Kit" Carson (1809-68) was a frontiersman who made his name as a guide for expeditions of John C. Freemont & Mexican American War campaigns of Gen. Stephen Watts Kearny. His home in Taos, NM is now a house museum. Carson is buried in Taos beside his wife Josefa Jaramillo.
