New Mexico Museum of Art, Santa Fe, NM Photos

The New Mexico Museum of Art (1917) on Santa Fe Plaza replicates what was the New Mexico pavilion for Panama-California Exposition (1915) in San Diego. Both structures were designed in the Pueblo Revival style by architects I.H. Rapp & William M. Rapp. The courtyard features a series of frescos of native life (1934) by Will Shuster. The art itself covers a range of the Santa Fe, Taos and other art styles which made New Mexico famous since the late 1800s.
