Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam Photos

The Van Gogh Museum sits in Amsterdam on the Museum Square (Museumplein) and traces the evolution of the art of Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh. It is housed in two buildings, the original main building designed (1963) by Gerrit Rietveld which opened (1973) after the death of Rietveld. The second semi-round building (1999) is by Kisho Kurokawa. While the works displayed are mostly by van Gogh, works by other artists provide a context.
