Faneuil Hall, Boston Photos

Faneuil Hall is on a Boston site used as a market since 1742. The current building's core dates from 1762, but is noted in its current version because it was expanded by architect Charles Bulfinch in 1806. Its cupola is crowned with a grasshopper weathervane. The market has expanded into the second Quincy Market building and surrounding streets like Hanover Street. A notable highrise seen from the Faneuil market area is the Custom House Tower (1915) by architects Peabody & Stearns.
