Desmond Castle, Adare, Ireland Photos

Adare Castle (aka Desmond Castle) 13thC is a rustic stone ruin standing above the River Maigue which was destroyed by Cromwell. Visitors may tour it but must take a bus from Adare's heritage center to avoid walking along a busy road with no space for pedestrians. Do not confuse with the Desmond Castle in Newcastle West.
