Blarney Castle, Ireland Photos

The current Blarney Castle near Cork, Ireland dates from (1446) on the site of an earlier keep. This fortress is noted for The Blarney Stone which supports a hole in the upper wall, once used to drop rocks, etc. on attackers. Tourists hang over this sheer drop on their backs to kiss the stone, said to convey the gift of eloquence of speech.
