Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin Photos

Kilmainham Gaol is an Irish national memorial to the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising who were executed here by the British, an act which turned public opinion to Irish independence. This former prison is now open for tours and includes a museum covering the struggle for Irish independence.
