Hurdy Gurdy Museum of Vintage Radio, Howth, Ireland Photos

A Martello tower (1805) built to protect the port of Howth, Ireland is now home of Hurdy Gurdy Museum of Vintage Radio. The tower was terminus to first undersea cable to Ireland (1852) & demonstrations in radio transmission by Lee de Forest (1903) & Guglielmo Marconi (1905). With such communications credentials, it is an appropriate setting for a large private collection of historic communication devices.
