St Sebastian Art Photos

St Sebastian (martyred 3rd C) was known for his many converts & miraculous cures. Sebastian was an officer in Roman army. When his Christianity was discovered, he was ordered to be killed by arrows. Left for dead, he recovered, but was later beaten to death upon orders of Emperor Diocletian. He is buried on the Via Appia. He is patron Saint of plague victims after his relics quelled the contagion in 1680.
