St Gregory the Great Art Photos

St Gregory the Great (540-604) was one of the four Latin Fathers of the Church. He became Pope in 590, introduced Gregorian Chant, led a procession through Rome against a plague, had a vision of Archangel Michael who predicted quick end to plague, built Castel St Angelo on site of vision (atop Hadrian's mausoleum), & sent missionaries throughout Europe and England.
