St Eulalia Art Photos

St Eulalia (290 - martyred 303) was a 13-year old Roman Christian virgin who confronted a governor in Spain for his merciless persecution of Christians and was herself tortured and crucified on an X-shaped cross. A dove is reputed to have flown from her mouth upon her death. Attrib. X-shaped cross; stake & dove.
