St Ambrose Art Photos

St Ambrose (c333-397) was one of the four Latin Fathers of the Church. A great orator, he asserted superiority of Church over secular rulers by ordering Emperor Theodosius to do penance for a massacre.
Symbols: Beehive (said to have been born with honey in mouth foretelling his sweet language), Bishop's staff / hat.
