Girandoles Photos

Girandoles are candlesticks of molded metal with hanging glass prisms to reflect light. Girandoles were often made in sets of three to sit on the fireplace mantles. Girandoles usually incorporated scenes in relief from literature or history with the larger central unit being the most elaborate and the two smaller units illustrating related details. Girandoles are said to have gained popularity after being featured at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.
