Silvered Glass (aka Mercury Glass) Photos

Silvered Glass (aka Mercury Glass) is the name given a class of glass vessels which deliver a mirrored surface by having two layers of glass between which silver nitrate is sealed. Such glassware dates as early as 1840. Actual Mercury was used in some early products but it proved unsuitable as well as dangerous.
