Chartres Cathedral Photos

Chartres Cathedral was rebuilt in 1194 totally in the Gothic style after a fire destroyed all but a Romanesque bell tower & doorway, which are incorporated. Chartres is noted for its stained glass windows using "Chartres blue" glass. While not in the Loire region, Chartres is a good stop between Paris & Orleans.
