Conciergerie & Museum Photos

Conciergerie (14thC) on Ile de la Cité in the Seine River was a notorious prison for about 2600 Guillotined victims during the Reign of Terror of the French Revolution, including Marie-Antoinette. Today the Gothic structure is mostly used for Law Courts. However, part hosts a museum containing artifacts & reproductions showing life of prisoners of the era.
