Pont Neuf, Paris Photos

Pont Neuf (built 1578-1607) traverses the Seine using the western tip of Île de la Cité. It is the oldest standing bridge in Paris. The Equestrian Statue of King Henri IV (1618) by Pietro Tacca, which stands on the bridges pediment on the island, was added shortly after these stone arches were completed.
