Dumbarton Oaks Museum, Washington, DC Photos

The Dumbarton Oaks Museum (1703 32nd St. NW) in the Georgetown area of Washington, DC centers on a house dating from 1801 though several extensions including museum galleries have been added over the years. The complex is operated as a combination of House Museum, garden and art museum with significant Byzantine & pre-Columbian collections by Harvard University. Dumbarton Oaks is the location where diplomatic meetings were held in 1944 which lead to the formation of the United Nations.
