Detlev Rohwedder Government Building, Berlin Photos

The Detlev Rohwedder Finance ministry for Germany building was originally built (1935-6) by architect Ernst Sagebiel. It served as Luftwaffe HQ in WWII and survived the war unbombed. It then served as USSR occupation HQ & East German GDR offices (1945-89). It is noted for its Socialist Realist "Building the Republic" mural (1952) by Max Lingner.
