German Bundestag, Berlin Photos

The German Bundestag (1884-94) building designed by Paul Wallot was home of the German Reichstag. As a political act of protest against the Nazis, it was set on fire in 1933 & unrestored until after fall of Berlin Wall. The restoration and the unique observation dome with spiral walkway was done by Norman Foster and opened in 1999, when it again became the building of Germany's Parliament or Bundestag. A campus of modern Parliamentary offices sits nearby.
