Gillette Castle State Park, East Haddam, CT Photos

Gillette Castle State Park features the home built (1914) by Sherlock Holmes actor William Gillette who invented many of the onstage symbols of Holmes such as the deerstalker cap, and pipe. The museum house itself incorporates many theatrical architectural features such as dozens of individually designed wooden doors.
