Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin Photos

Taliesin, was the name given by Frank Lloyd Wright to the personal residence he built in 1911 on his family's farmland south of the village of Spring Green, WI. Today, Taliesin refers to the entire estate & all the buildings Wright built there including his house (rebuilt after a murderous 1914 fire), Hillside Home School (1902) which became the studios for the fellowship Wright ran, the Romeo & Juliet Windmill (1896) built for play by students of Hillside school, & the Visitor Center (1956) built when Wright realized that Taliesin would become a museum for his work. Unity Chapel (1886) may be the first building Wright worked on & where his tomb marker resides, though he is buried elsewhere.
