Long Beach & Ilwaco, WA Photos

The Long Beach peninsula in the southwest corner of Washington state juts north from the mouth of the Columbia River as one of the longest, widest sand beaches on the US Pacific coast. Popular attractions include Cape Disappointment Lighthouse (1856) & North Head Lighthouse (1898). The string of villages along the peninsula including Long Beach & Ilwaco serve as a summer resorts for the state.
